This recipe consists of juicy, tender chicken breasts that have been coated in a garlic butter mixture, and breaded in golden panko breadcrumbs.
The panko breadcrumbs are toasted beforehand for a more golden colour and extra crispiness.
Made from just a few simple ingredients, this recipe makes for a perfect weeknight dinner!

Ingredients you’ll need
Here’s a list of ingredients you’ll need to make this recipe. You can find the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the complete list with their measurements.
- Chicken breasts: Boneless and skinless.
- Unsalted butter
- Garlic cloves: Minced.
- Panko breadcrumbs: Larger than your standard breadcrumbs, and creates a far better crunch.
- Italian seasoning
- Garlic powder
- Parmigiano Reggiano or Parmesan: Grated.
How to make Crispy Garlic Chicken
To make this chicken recipe, start by spreading the panko breadcrumbs out onto a large baking tray and lightly spray with oil.
Bake for 5 minutes or until golden. Transfer the panko to a bowl and set aside to cool.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter with the garlic. Once melted, remove from the heat.
Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and Parmesan to the panko breadcrumbs, and stir to combine.
Toss each chicken breast in the garlic butter to coat, then coat in the breadcrumbs.
Transfer them to a large baking tray lined with an oven-safe wire rack, and bake for 40 – 45 minutes (depending on the size of the chicken used) until cooked through.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

How long will this crispy garlic chicken last? Leftover chicken can be kept in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to 2 days. Reheat them in the oven at 200C/400F/Gas 6 until warmed through.
